I promised some more eye candy from the ICFF and I got side tracked this week with other projects. But here are some beautiful pieces from one of the exhibitors Shine Labs. I love all of the white on white textural pieces. The origami parrot vase is my favorite.

I attended the International Contemporary Furniture Fair ICFF on Saturday in NYC and I wanted to spend some time this week devoting postings to the amazing product design and homeware designers I saw at the show. One of my favorite exhibitors was Graypants, a Seattle based studio. All of their lighting systems were made out of layers of cardboard (and yes you might wonder as I did, they are treated with a flame retardent).
I had the pleasure of attending David Stark's Purely Flower Shoppe and Book Signing at the West Elm store on Tuesday. In true David Stark style the event was amazing. Everything from flowers, to trees, birds, and water cans were made out of paper. And the new West Elm store on 62nd and Broadway is really cool as well. The ceilings are especially high and beautifully merchandised items are stacked in cubby holes as far as the eye can see. If you haven't already, check out David Stark's new book. It is a great collection of his event creations and an inspiration piece for creative ideas.
I wanted to share with you the release of an innovative new product – U by Kotex. I had the opportunity to work on this brand with the creative folks over at Coleman Brandworx.
In the fem-care category traditionally packaging design has been pastel, mostly pink or blue and rather under-designed. Kimberly-Clark wanted to break out of the mold with the new U by Kotex brand and the team at CBX came up with this bold, impactful design that really pops on the shelf. It was a fun brand to work on!
