I recently came across this advertising for Kraken Rum. First of all, I love the concept behind this rum. Even the double handles on the bottle are piratesc. And the illustratiion of the "kraken" (mythological sea creature) is amazing. I wonder if this was a vintage illustration that they found or if they had it illustrated? The collateral equally matches the mystic of the whole brand for a nicely integrated campaign.

wow that is really inspiring. package design is so much fun, its a blast. the creativity behind this bottle is genius.
Most retailers were not very impressed with the New Year’s collection of designer fashion trends so it is very unlikely that you will see anything really new at local stores until at least the summer.
oh that is just so awesome. I try to resist buying things just for their packaging, but this is one that I would not be able to pass up!

It's absolutely delicious rum. It's a rule in the house that when the bottle is opened you have to shout "Release the Kraken!" Yes. We are dorks. But we are dorks with delicious rum.
